Gono Kallyan donates Gonoshasthaya Kendra Tk 5 lakh
Gono Kallyan Trust on Saturday donated Tk 5 lakh to Gonoshasthaya Kendra to continue research on coronavirus (COVID-19) that turned pandemic.
On behalf of GKT, Shafiuddin handed over the money in cheque to GK trustee Zafrullah Chowdhury at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital at Dhanmondi in the capital, said a press release.
Gonoshasthaya Kendra received the government approval to import raw materials for producing coronavirus test kits.
On March 17, Gonoshasthaya-RNA Biotech Limited, a concern of the Kendra, claimed that it had developed a kit to test coronavirus.
The kits will cost around Tk 200 and can be marketed soon, researchers claimed. (Source: New Age)
