Al-Amin fined for abusive language in BCL final

Fast bowler Al-Amin Hossain was fined 50 percent of his match fees for using abusive language and inappropriate body gesture towards a dismissed batsman on the fourth day of Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) final at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Tuesday (February 25).

Al-Amin was playing for BCB South Zone who took on Islami Bank East Zone in the final. South Zone completed a 105-run victory on the day four of the five-day final to clinch their hat-trick and fifth trophy in the BCL, considered as the premier first class tournament of the country.

Al-Amin, who used abusive language and made inappropriate gestures towards East Zone’s Mohammad Ashraful after dismissing him in the sixth over, was found guilty for breach of Level 1 (2.5) Offense.

Level 1 breach carries a minimum penalty of an official warning, a maximum penalty of 50 per cent of match fees. (Source: BSS)
