BRTA to receive fees without fine

Vehicle owners and drivers would be able to pay fees for renewing car document and driving licence without any fine till June 30.

The Road Transport and Highways Division on Saturday took the decision and later Bangladesh Road Transport Authority issued an urgent release in this regard.

Currently all offices of the authority are closed as the government enforced 10-day countrywide public holiday between March 26 and April 4 to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The release says that as BRTA offices are closed, the service seekers cannot renew fitness certificates, tax tokens and route permits of motor vehicles and driving licences during this period.

Considering the matter, the authorities decided that the service seekers would be able to pay the fee without any fine till June this year, said the release.
