Bangladesh gets 3,00,000 medical-grade masks from China
Some three lakh medical-grade masks donated by Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation of China arrived in Dhaka by a cargo flight on Sunday afternoon.
Chinese embassy deputy chief of mission Hualong Yan handed over the consignment to the Department of Health officials at Hazrat Shajalal International Airport.
The two foundations earlier donated thirty thousand kits that reached Dhaka on Friday to test infection of coronavirus (COVID-19), a global pandemic,
Five people died and 48 people were infected in the disease and a total of 15 recovered from the ailment in Bangladesh till Sunday, according to Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research. (Source: New Age)
