Mime performance aims at coronavirus awareness

Popular mime artiste Nithar Mahbub has created a mime performance to spread awareness about coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

A video of the performance titled ‘Stay Safe’ has been released on the official Youtube channel of Nithar Mahbub recently.

It features six mime artistes namely Nithar Mahbub, Tutul, Faisal, Shubho, Sudhanshu and Munia.

The performance revolves around Mukaku, a man dressed in white enacted by Nithar Mahbub, who is followed by five figures dressed in black everywhere. Mukaku tries his best to outrun and shake off his pursuers, who persistently give chase, surround and attack him.

As the video moves forward, awareness messages about coronavirus prevention are displayed on the screen.

The video urges people to practice social distancing, stay at home during the pandemic, wash hands for 20 seconds with soap and water, cover nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, eat food which help boost the immune system and others.

‘I made this production to make everyone aware about the coronavirus. The virus spreads by person-to-person contact. We can protect ourselves if we listen to advice of health officials and practice caution. I hope viewers will find it both entertaining and educating,’ Nithar Mahbub told New Age. (Source: New Age)
