Two-day Bhawaiya song festival underway in Kurigram

A two-day Bhawaiya festival began at Open Stage of Kurigram Government College on Thursday.

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has organised the programme in association with cultural affairs ministry and Kurigram district administration.

State minister for cultural affairs KM Khalid attended the inaugural ceremony as chief guest where deputy commissioner of Kurigram Sultana Parvin and Kurigram district police super Jafor Ali were present as special guests.

BSA music and dance department director Sohrab Uddin delivered the welcome speech and BSA secretary Badrul Anam Bhuiyan presided over the inaugural ceremony. Following which, artistes entertained the audience rendering Bhawaiya songs. The festival will end today. (Source: New Age)
